Whose World Is It?

The recent Artemis II mission to the moon is partly about competition and colonisation. Which nation will be able to claim the moon as its own? America, China, India?

But what interested me the most was not new pictures of parts of the moon never seen before, but the already seen, dramatic, awe-inspiring photos of planet earth on which we live. Hanging in black space like a blue-silvery bauble, it prompted me to ask, ‘Whose world is it?’

The Bible, I believe, gives four answers to this question which we will consider in this article. The answers may be paradoxical yet are in fact all true and have to be held, like the earth in space, in a delicate balance.
